Bass notes
I am intrigued with international hits which were only mildly successful in the US… this is clearly one of them.
The run which he does beginning on the 13th fret is what caught my ear. Not sure if I am exact on it; there are several covers on YT… and seems they all have their own way of doing it… all sound good so, I did mine like the tab.

TAB CORRECTION: At 1:08 it should G#/D# 2x

The Song
The song was written by the leader of Christie, Jeff Christie. It was first offered to The Tremeloes, who recorded it with the intention of releasing it as a single early in 1970.

Producer Mike Smith therefore took their vocals off the recording and added Jeff Christie’s.
it became an international hit, reaching number one in 26 countries including the UK.

In the US, it reached number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100
