Intermediate – Practice this to work on limb independence, flow, linear patterns and ultimately, drum fills.

This pattern becomes Advanced when you try to add the pedal hat. I’m playing KRL KLR around the toms as 16th notes, then I change the pattern slightly at the end where it loops. To get good at a pattern like this, try isolating KRL KLR as 16th notes just across two instruments first, before going all the way around the kit.
